Plates, Chargers and Vessels
A selection of carved plates and vessels. They are coloured with oxides and underglazes. Some vessels are glazed on the inside.
Relief patterns are hand carved, some have sprigs added to give greater depth. Handmade stamps may also be used for pattern but together they are combined to give a variety of surface pattern appropriate to the piece. Colour is applied after the first firing using a mixture of underglazes and oxides. Several firings may be required to achieve the depth of colour.
